Hi there! Here is a little about me. I grew up in the heartland of Simcoe County, Ontario. Work opportunities led me and my husband Mike (also my DJ!), to reside near the outskirts of Peel Region for many years. Lucky for me, we lived very close to a popular country bar with a vibrant line dancing program. And that is largely where I learned to line dance. When the time was right, we decided to pack up and look for a new home in the country; we were delighted to find the charming and welcoming Village of Norwood! We are here to stay and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to share my line dancing experience with my neighbours, and in surrounding communities.

What is Modern Line Dancing? Modern line dancing has its roots in the country line dancing style that many people are familiar with. The main difference is that we now incorporate music and steps from a variety of musical and dance genres (e.g., pop, Latin, Celtic, hip hop). The Modern Line Dance community spans the world! New dances are published daily on websites like Copperknob and Linedancer. Modern line dancing routines can be quite sophisticated but there is a level for everyone, ranging from Absolute Beginner to Advanced. A fun way to get exercise, inspire yourself, and make new friends! No partner needed!

Delta Bingo and Gaming, Peterborough

Saturday, October 18^th

"Boot Scootin' Bingo" Country Video Dance Party and Line Dance Lessons!

· Doors open at 5pm. This one-of-a-kind event combines the fun of Bingo with the energy of a country-themed dance party. In between Bingo games, hit the dance floor and learn how to line dance while your favourite country tunes play!

Norwood: Monday Evenings

Absolute Beginner & Beginner Level 6:00-7:00pm

· Ideal for new dancers, and returning dancers who want to review/practice the basics

· $50 for 10 classes (October 6 – December 8)

· Location: Norwood Town Hall, 2357 County Rd 45, Norwood

· NOTE: This class is full. If you are interested in a future beginner class, let me know!

Returning Dancers

· 6:30-8:00pm Beginner to Improver/Intermediate level – ideal for dancers looking to expand their dancing skills. For this session, we will warm up with the Beginner dancers for the first 30 minutes, enjoying some fun, simpler dances, then carry on with the more challenging routines.

· $70 for 10 classes; credits from any dates you missed in the summer will be applied!

Campbellford: Thursday Mornings (Community Care Northumberland)
